Weekend Swimming at Gajah Mada Plaza

07 October 2017
Weekend Swimming at Gajah Mada Plaza

Of course i heard about this swimming pool at Gajah Mada Plaza years ago but never had any interest to visit. But today, my friend and i decided that we have to fight the weekend’s laziness and just go swimming!

We arrived in front of The Plaza at about 7.15 am, enter the building from the tower entrance. We went straight to the back of the building to find the elevator to take us to level 7. The ticket price is RP40.000/person for weekend, and free locker but we have to leave our ID card or pay Rp50.000.

The Changing room

The locker was enough for my sandals, sling and tote bag. But some of the toilet’s and shower room’s doors are not in good condition. The water flow from the shower also a bit low so it will take some clean up. Nevertheless, the locker room is clean.

The Pools

Here comes the main part. In front of the changing room there’s small kids pool with slide. While the main pool divided into two section. One and four meter. The water is clear and nice and doesn’t smells chlorine either.

Pros:

  1. Near Sawah Besar Busway Shelter
  2. Affordable
  3. Nice water
  4. Not too crowded in the morning

Cons:

  1. Many broken shower room’s doors
  2. Slow shower water flow

I think we’re going to try other swimming pool around Jakarta and maybe we’ll come frequently here since it is easier to reach by Transjakarta.
